Medal Medal Name Description

Medal of Honor The Medal of Honor is awarded to a soldier who distinguishes himself or herself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his or her life and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against an enemy. The deed performed must have been one of personal bravery or self-sacrifice, and must have involved risk of life.

Distinguished Service Cross The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded to a soldier who distinguished himself or herself by extraordinary heroism not justifying the award of a Medal of Honor, while engaged in an action against an enemy. The act(s) of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from his comrades.

Distinguished Service Medal The Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to a soldier who has distinguished himself or herself by exceptional meritorious service to the Government is a duty of great responsibility.

Silver Star The Silver Star is awarded to a soldier who is cited for gallantry in action against an enemy.

Legion of Merit The Legion of Merit is awarded to a soldier who demonstrates the performance of outstanding services and achievements to his or her position (staff/unit).

Soldiers Medal The Soldiers Medal is awarded to a soldier who displays exceptional leadership, conduct, professionalism and maturity, on and off the battlefield.

Bronze Star The Bronze Star is awarded to a soldier who distinguished himself or herself by heroic or meritorious service while engaged in action against an enemy of the US.

Purple Heart The Purple Heart is awarded to a soldier who has been injured ([50 HP] or lower) and has survived the round.

Army Commendation Medal The Army Commendation Medal awarded to a soldier who has achieved 30 points in the drill category for Unit Conduct.

Good Conduct Medal The Good Conduct Medal is awarded to a soldier who has not received a demerit for a period of three months.

American Defense Medal The American Defense Medal is awarded to a soldier upon completion of basic combat training.

American Campaign Medal The American Campaign Medal is awarded to a soldier who has reached the rank of a Non-Commissioned Officer.

Eastern/African/Middle Eastern Campaign Medal The Eastern/African/Middle Eastern Campaign Medal is awarded to a soldier who has participated in six official scrimmages

WWII Victory Medal The World War Two Victory Medal is awarded to a soldier who has participated and won six official scrimmages.

Army Occupation medal
The Army Occupation Medal is awarded to a soldier who has six months service in the 3rd Ranger Battalion.

Financial Support Medal
The Financial Support Medal is awarded to a soldier who has donated $10 or more to the 3rd Ranger Battalion.
